About Dr. Timothy M. Greco
A devotion to the face, head, and neck gives Dr. Timothy M. Greco a focus that sets him apart from many of his peers. His Eastern Cosmetic Surgery Institute, where he has been in private practice in Bala Cynwynd, Pennsylvania, since 1985, is a highly regarded facility for facial plastic surgery in Philadelphia. Patients routinely seek him out for his skill, expertise, and honest approach.
Popular surgeries available at Eastern Cosmetic Surgery Institute include rhinoplasty in Philadelphia (better known as a “nose job”), facelift, and blepharoplasty (better known as eyelid surgery). Dr. Greco also offers a range of wrinkle-smoothing injectables and fillers, including Juvéderm® and Botox in Philadelphia.
Dr. Greco maintains a relationship with Allergan Corporation, maker of Botox® and more, through which he teaches other medical professionals the proper techniques for injectables. As a residency training instructor, he draws on his own experience to ensure that physicians and nurse instructors are equipped with the knowledge necessary to safely and effectively administer the prescription cosmetics themselves.
He began his own education in 1984, earning an A.B. in biology from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. He went on to earn his medical degree from Hahnemann University, School of Medicine, in Philadelphia. He then performed a surgical internship at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center in Allentown, followed by a residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Greco completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1995.
Dr. Greco holds a dual certification: from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and from the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. His membership in professional societies includes the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the Pennsylvania Academy of Otolaryngology, the Philadelphia County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. He is a fellow with the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is licensed to practice medicine in Minnesota, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and he is affiliated with Pennsylvania Hospital, Phoenixville Hospital, and Lankenau Hospital.
Since 1996, Dr. Greco has served as a guest lecturer in the subject of facial plastic surgery. He has also served as an adjunct assistant professor, associated faculty, at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine, since 2005 and has worked with CME Palette Presentations – Injections in Aesthetic Medicine since 2008. Physicians have an opportunity to see him on an instructional DVD on expert injection techniques.
Throughout his career, Dr. Greco has made numerous presentations to his peers, on subjects from rhinoplasty to laser resurfacing, in venues ranging from universities to “Cosmetic Bootcamp,” and he also co-authored a chapter in Facial Plastic Surgery Clinics of North America. He has received many awards in that time, including being recognized by his peers as one of the top four facial plastic surgeons in the greater Philadelphia area and getting voted “Best Plastic Surgeon” in Philadelphia Style Magazine’s annual “Best of Philly” edition five times.
