About Dr. Pramit Malhotra
Dr. Pramit Malhotra is a sought-after double board-certified plastic surgeon whose work as director of Ann Arbor Plastic Surgery in Michigan is based on his philosophy of “beauty revealed.” His practice focuses on breast surgeries, including body procedures, including liposuction in Michigan and tummy tuck and breast augmentation ; facial surgeries, including rhinoplasty; and other services, such as Ann Arbor Botox® and CoolSculpting®.
The Consumer Research Council of America named Dr. Malhotra a top plastic surgeon in 2009. Other honors include Realself recognizing him as a “Top Doctor 2010,” his selection as an Inamed Breast Scholar, and his receiving the Patient’s Choice Award 2013 for the state of Michigan.
Such recognition for proficiency and care does not come overnight. His education includes 11 years of training spent with surgeons renowned for their technique and experience. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree from the University of Michigan’s LS&A Honors College in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Next, he received his master of science in otolaryngology from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Dr. Malhotra attended medical school in Columbus, Ohio, where he received his medical doctorate from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Minnesota’s Department of Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery, then completed a fellowship at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals in Madison, Wisconsin.
He also completed research fellowships at the National Institutes of Health, the National Institute on Deafness and Communication Disorders, and the University of Michigan Medical School. Ultimately, he opened Ann Arbor Plastic Surgery, where he continues to provide custom-designed procedures for the patients he treats as individuals with unique body types and goals.
Dr. Malhotra is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology, an uncommon dual certification that sets him apart from many doctors focusing on plastic surgery today. He is licensed to practice medicine in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota and is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and Michigan Medical Association.
In addition to his plastic surgery work at his practice, Dr. Malhotra performs community service by working as a volunteer surgeon with the University of Michigan Medical Mission in La Ceiba, Honduras, and the Nicaplast Foundation in Leon, Nicaragua. He also serves with the Project Love Childhood Immunization Program, as a tutor with the Project Literacy Program, and as an education committee member with the American Academy of Otolaryngology’s Resident and Fellows Section.
Dr. Malhotra has authored more than a dozen publications that have appeared in industry journals, but the biggest testament to his talent and commitment is the more than 6,000 procedures he’s performed throughout his career.
